I remember being told that hop bags reduced
the hops effectiveness by 10%. And observed
some of what you are describing. Which led
me to think it could be worse than 10%. So I
just switched to whole leaf hops no bags and
never looked back. On occasion I will use
pellets, but don't like to.

I've read some great things about brew water profiling here on the HBD.
This is an area I am starting to gain interest it.
I am wondering what tools home brewers have access to for this.
What will I need? (Other than knowledge)
What is cost effective?
What is the best out there?
I could just research options, but I want to know what is practical and
accessable.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
