Subject: Cleaning Kegs
Hi,
What is the appropriate method of storing / cleaning kegs? I have kegs with
SS couplings welded in them. I use brass nipples and ball valves and
usually leave everything connected after brewing. When ready to brew, I
rinse off, run brushes through connections, and soak / clean with
Oxyclean.
I have just a little sight and can tell the pipes and ball valve are darker
than they were when I purchased them years ago. Is Oxyclean a good
regiment for cleaning them up? Or, should I just purchase new ball valves
and nipples?
I have not brewed in over a year and I am ready to get back in to it!
