Greetings, Beerlings! Take me to your lager...

A long overdue task is now behind the HBD: we now hold an official IRS
determination letter indicating we are a 501(c)3 public charity under Section
170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue code. This means that any donations
made to the HBD are once again tax deductible. In filing our Form 1023 for
reinstatement, we also asked the IRS to review our case for reinstatement
retroactive to our automatic revocation, and they approved. This means that
if you declared donations to the HBD as charitable donations between our
automatic revocation and now, you were correct to do so. Finally, the HBD is
eligible to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts
under Sections 2055, 2106, or 2522 of the code, too. I don't even know what
some of those are...

The determination letter, as well as other documents related to our status
with the IRS and incorporation are available for review at the HBD.ORG
website under "Disclosures".

(Yay!)
